Galveston Pleasure Pier-email

Best of Show-Pleasure Pier at Dawn by Beth Goetzman

Thank you to everyone who participated in our annual Fall Contest - coordinators, judges, participants and guests. It is always fun to see the range of talent in our club and to hear the comments that will make us better photographers. Next year, we hope to have a larger percentage of our members enter the contest. What is holding you back?

Years ago I belonged to a computer club, HAL PC, in the early days of personal computers. The tagline for the club was "Each One, Teach One". I thought this was a wonderful tagline. It also represents the purpose of our photography club. The monthly field trips we host are an opportunity to practice our skills and learn from others within our club. If you have camera specific questions, then seek someone else out in the club that also has a Canon, Nikon on Sony. However, a lot of photography is lighting, exposure and composure. We can all share on these topics. Did you learn a new photography trick or feature on your camera? Be sure to share! "Each One, Teach One".
