Deb Evans - Photographic Vision - Difference Between Snapshot and Photograph

Message from President

First of all, I would like to say “Thank You” to Kathy Adams Clark and everyone who contributed to the portfolio review at last month’s meeting. Kathy’s critiques are always interesting and the consistent quality of the images you turn in is amazing. In fact, many of you are extremely talented and we would like to call upon you now to consider sharing your gifts with the group. The strength and longevity of every club is dependent upon the diversity and volunteer participation of its members. Here are areas where the club needs help:

  1. Newsletter/Publicity (only skill necessary is ability to type) current person filling in for this position will not be able to continue for the rest of the year
  2. Board members for 2012 – who is interested?
  3. Workshop / Fieldtrip suggestions
  4. Feedback

The board is always welcoming of input please feel free to email – Karen Geser [email protected]

Just in time for the summer - June's mini contest - "Summer Fun" - send your pictures into Barry Dolton before the next meeting.

President – WPC Board

High Dynamic Range Photography

High-dynamic-range photographs are generally achieved by capturing multiple standard photographs, often using exposure bracketing, and then merging them into an HDR image.

Using simple software to combine and blend exposures a photographer can achieve a photograph with more contrast with a natural feel or an image a science fiction effect.

Join Kathy Adams Clark at our workshop on June 25th as she demonstrates how to capture and process photographs to achieve this popular trend in photography.
