Design Principles Help Photography
Explaining how to use design principles to adjust composition and other factors provided excellent insights for improving the shots we take. Good ideas were included for how we place our subjects and think about the background as we look through the viewfinder. Many thanks to Sue for a great presentation!

Watch the Habits
By Pattie Chimene
When trying to photograph kids (or pets), watch for their habits. If they tend to watch a certain TV program at a certain time and are mesmerized by what's on TV, that's a good time to get a serious photo without them moving around much. While they are playing, do they go in and out of a door over and over? If so, stage your shot and check your settings while they are on the other side. Then when they come through that door again you will be ready for the shot. The same is true of pets, watch their habits to catch some truly amazing photographs.
