January Activities
At our regular meeting on January 9:

* Owner of Photographic Techniques, shared his knowledge from digital photo prep, significance and differences in the different types of digital files (jpeg, tiff and raw). Members enjoyed this great opportunity to learn from one of the most skilled and talented persons in digital lab.

* Special thanks to Susan Long, John Haydel and Bob Beaird for the snacks and refreshments.

Antique Car Collection: Just for WPC members. arranged for the trip to the Car Museum on February 25. Meet at the McDonalds parking lot, near FM 1774 and FM 1488, and arrive at the museum 8:30 am. We are to leave by 11:30 am.

THROUGH FEBRUARY 17th., 2006 Light Catchers Exhibit - Light Catchers is a group of skilled photographers and among the team are Janice & Nolan Braud, Marty Phelix, Tom Hoherd, Gene Foglietta,George Carlson and Dot Mullinax. Light Catchers is having a photographic exhibition at the Bank of America Center in Downtown Houston on Smith Street across from Jones Plaza. There are 86 photos on display. This is the third major showing of the groups "Texas Backroads" collection. The show runs from January 23 through February 17. The lobby is open to the public from 6:00 AM through 6:00 PM on weekdays

ABOUT OUR CLUB



The Woodlands Photography Club
is an organization formed
to support area photographers of all ages, skill levels, and interests to advance in their ability to create truly satisfying images.  In the process, we all become great friends, enjoy field trips and outings together, and learn from each other.

MEETINGS.
 We meet on the second Monday of every month from 6:30 to 9 P.M. at the Library just west of The Woodlands Pavilion(The Montgomery County South Branch Library
at 2101 Lake Robbins Dr.) in the meeting room immediately to your
left
as you enter the front doors. Visitors and the curious are always most welcome!

MEMBERSHIP. Anyone interested in photography, no matter what your age or level of experience (professional, amateur, or wannabe), is most welcome to join our club. Membership is a measly $20/person or $30/couple per year (worth getting married for!).

NEWSLETTER. Our monthly online newsletter goes out around the first week of each month (you are reading the current issue).  We keep all back issues archived on our club website.

MEMBER GALLERIES. Each member can have a gallery of his or her best images online. Contact Nolan Braud for gallery help ([email protected]).
