AUGUST

MONTHLY MEETING & PRESENTATION
TUESDAY AUGUST 12 -- 6:30 to 8:45 P.M.

NOTE THE TUESDAY MEETING, RATHER THAN OUR
USUAL MONDAY TIME.
A representative of Lampros Gallery in The Woodlands will show us the expert's inside tricks for matting and framing your images in the most professional way -- and with methods and materials that will protect them for the long term.
The Mini-Contest will be YOUR SUMMER IMAGES.

FIELD TRIP:  DOWNTOWN AT NIGHT
Friday 8/29 or Saturday 8/30 -- 6 to 11 P.M.

Join us for a fun and challenging field trip downtown at night.
We'll meet at The Woodlands Library parking lot, then carpool downtown for dinner, take photos of live entertainment and scenic buildings, and then ride a trolley around to slow the pace.

FIELD TRIP:  To Be Announced

Something's in the works...(hmmm, wonder what?)

ABOUT OUR CLUB

The Woodlands Photography Club is an organization formed
to support area photographers of all ages, skill levels, and interests to advance in their ability to create truly satisfying images.  In the process, we all become great friends, enjoy field trips and outings together, and learn from each other.

left
as you enter the front doors. Visitors and the curious are always most welcome!

MEMBERSHIP. Anyone interested in photography, no matter what your age or level of experience (professional, amateur, or wannabe), is most welcome to join our club. Membership is a measly $15/yearthat's a mere $1.25/month, less than a cup of coffee! Membership is half-price for young people up to age 18.

NEWSLETTER. Our monthly online newsletter goes out around the first of each month (you are reading the current issue).  We keep all back issues archived on our club website.

PARTING SHOT

If I take a series of images of the same subject
using the same lens types from different
manufacturers, and use the same film,
you won't be able to consistently pick out
one manufacturer's images from the other.
Great photos can be taken with many
different companies' equipment.
The message isn't in the media,
but in the vision.

George Lepp, Outdoor Photographer, 3/02

See you TUESDAY the 12th for our August Meeting!

P.S. -- Check out our club web site often.
We will update it with new monthly content, photos,

of interest to photographers.
